I have to work most of the weekend and as it is coming on top of many weeks of working crazy hours, my stamina is beginning to flag and I am starting to feel sorry for myself.
Because I can’t have a relaxing weekend, I hope very much that you can and that you can relax for the both of us.
I hope you get to go and have a nice cafe breakfast with a beloved.
I hope you get to go to a movie or see a band…
I hope you get to have a nap in the afternoon…
And I hope you get to sit on the porch and watch the yard birds squabbling over the bread scraps you threw on the lawn for them…

Hope get to do all these things very soon! xoxo

Thanks, guys.
Margi – I did nearly cry – especially as that cafe photograph was a particularly lovely lunch I had with my friend Emma McCleary in Auckland – lovely memories! Hope your marking pile is shrinking by the hour, M. xx H

Sucky! I’m sorry that you’re not getting to relax this weekend, and I’m also sorry that there are few things you need to do for me/the book, at the time you’re most busy. I’m doing a semi-final proofread at the moment.
