a southwards weekend, in pictures

I normally go to visit my friend Emma in Featherston for the Craft Country Fair – but this year, Morrissey is coming at the same time….yes! I’m going to Morrissey! Woot! Last time I saw him was in 1991 when I was 19. I didn’t want to miss out on my Wairarapa weekend at Emma’s because Emma and Tom are lovely hosts and I always have a lovely, restful time there…..so….I nipped southwards to visit Emma last weekend. The trip began with a southwards train trip at dawn and ended with bus journey through the Manawatu Gorge at dusk. I met Emma in Wellington for some city rambles before we went over the Rimutakas to Featherston. Here is a photo essay of the weekend:

  1. Beautiful images of beautiful things and places! Neat to see Maranui cafe and Lyall Bay marram in there too. No wonder you looked so refreshed and relaxed on Monday night! x
